Bioinformatics approaches to dissect transcriptional regulation in disease

Vortrag am 10. November 2020 ab 14:30

Bioinformatics can significantly contribute to the dissection of transcriptional misregulation associated with a wide range of diseases. During my talk I will first present how bioinformatics analyses of functional genomics datasets allowed further understanding of the dual mode of action of the EMT transcription factor ZEB1 in breast cancer. Next, I will present a framework for the meta-analysis of enriched pathways, using cardiac hypertrophy as case study. The goal of our meta-analysis was to provide a temporal signature of heart tissue remodeling and identify differences between the two types of cardiac hypertrophy.
